East Orange YMCA

After School Care

As a leading nonprofit for strengthening community, the Y believes access to afterschool programs is important for all kids, but for young people in low-income or struggling environments, they are critically important to supporting academic achievement and providing the kind of enrichment that sparks passions, builds skills and opens doors.

We believe every child is full of promise and possibilities, and we love being there when a child realizes it, too.

Our program has well-trained staff who are focused on meeting the needs of each individual participant who are committed to serving as excellent role models for the community and will help to establish an atmosphere where parents can be secure and confident about the place their child grows. The program is fully licensed by the State of New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families. We are also accredited by the New Jersey School Age Child Care Association (SACC) since 2006.

The last day of After School Programs for the 2016-2017 school year will be Thursday, June 22.

The buses are state inspected and equipped with seat belts and 2 YMCA staff members on each bus.  We also pick up children for early dismissals.
