Current Swim Schedule

Swim Lessons

Shrimp (6 months - 3 years)An introduction to water adjustment, safety, and basic swimming skills for parent and child. A positive early experience in water through song and games. An adult must accompany the child in the water.

Pike (3-5 years) – A beginner swim lesson designed to teach critical basic life skills like floating, paddling, kicking, and breath control.

Polliwog (6-13 years) – A beginner swim lesson designed to teach critical basic skills like floating, paddling, kicking, and breath control.

Guppy (6-13 years) - An intermediate swim lesson designed to teach swim strokes like front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke.

Minnow (6-13 years) – An advanced swim lesson that helps students refine their technique and learn more difficult strokes like butterfly.

Adult (14 years and up) – Adults will explore ways to become comfortable in the water and learn life-saving swim skills. It's never too late to start!

 

OPEN SWIM: All ages, Members Only.

**Dates and times are subject to change. No make-ups for missed classes. We will honor make-up classes if the East Orange YMCA cancels due to technical issues.
