Facility Memberships - YOUTH: Individuals aged 0 - 12 years old TEEN: Individuals aged 13 - 17 years old YOUNG ADULT: Individuals aged 18 - 22 years old ADULT: Individuals aged 23 - 64 years old SENIOR: Individuals or couples age 65 and up FAMILY: Two adults living in the same household and children up to the age of 18 or 22 with the proof that they are full time college students SENIOR COUPLE: Two seniors living in the same household SINGLE PARENT FAMILY: One single (not married) adult & children up to the age of 18 or 22 with proof that they're full time college students

Gold Card Membership: This membership entitles the bearer to utilize the privileges of all of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges Branches. All program fees will be charged at the Facility Member rate.
A.W.A.Y. Program: "Always Welcome at YMCA" is the YMCA’s nationwide visiting member program. More than 1,000 Y’s in the A.W.A.Y. program have agreed to welcome our members to their facilities. A nominal guest fee may be charged. For more information on The A.W.A.Y. Program please contact your local YMCA.
Satisfaction Guarantee: The YMCA pledges to offer high-quality services to our members. If you are dissatisfied with any of our programs, the unused portion of your tuition or program fees will be refunded, or may be credited to the program or membership of your choice. The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges offers both full facility and program Membership options.
Bank/Credit Card Draft: Your account is assessed a pre-approved amount, at the same time each month. A 30 days written notice is required by the YMCA for cancellation or any changes to the account or bank information. The Bank/Credit Card Draft option is only available at the Sussex County YMCA and Bank Draft at the West Essex YMCAs.
Full Payment: Cash, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted for payment of membership or programs.
Valuables: The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is not responsible for lost or stolen articles in any of its facilities.
Code of Conduct: All members and participants must recognize the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is dedicated to the welfare of all. In order to maintain a consistent and cooperative environment, the Management of the YMCA requests that all members and participants using its facilities: refrain from the use of foul language, abusive actions or inappropriate behavior. Recognize that good sportsmanship, fair play and a cooperative attitude govern behavior at all times. Rules for participation in a program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. It is understood that everyone will be treated as individuals and respect shown for reasonable differences in tastes, preferences, abilities, and range of behavior patterns. Respect others as well as the buildings, equipment and the natural environment. Refrain from smoking, possessing alcoholic beverages, firearms or other weapons and any illegal substances.
The YMCA reserves the right to dismiss someone from the organization whose special needs we are unable to meet or whose conduct is not in the best interest of the YMCA, without refund. Failure to observe this code may result in the termination of privileges. The loaning of your membership card will result in termination of membership privileges.
Use of Photographs: By partaking in YMCA activities, permission is hereby granted to the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges to use any photographs, for marketing purposes, or on our website, or in a promotional video, taken of your child, family member or yourself during any YMCA activities. Please inquire with you local YMCA branch if you or your family would not like to be photographed at the YMCA.
Insurance: Certain activities at the YMCA have risks which are inherent to the activity. When partaking in these activities, members and participants assume responsibility for these risks. If you have any questions regarding these risks, please contact the appropriate Department Director.
Emergency Closings: If the YMCA must close, delay opening or close early an announcement will be made on each of our branch websites and on the following:

Cell Phone Policy: Each Branch of The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is a cell phone free YMCA.

Make-Up Policy: Make-up classes will be scheduled only in the event that the YMCA cancels the class. Programs missed for personal reasons cannot be made up. If a class is missed due to serious illness or injury, a credit or refund may be issued if a doctor’s written confirmation of illness or injury accompanies the request.
