(Ages 8-12)
As a follow up to our Children’s Choral Workshop, we are hosting The Y’s Youth Voices, a children’s chorus running for 8 sessions and culminating in a concert! All of the skills learned during the Children’s Choral Workshop will be expounded upon, and students will gain a greater understanding of what it means to perform in a choir setting. Throughout the course of the 8 weeks, students will learn the basics of choral pedagogy, improve their musicianship, and engage in repertoire that is not only fun, but challenging! Part singing will be explored through pop music, world music, and traditional choral repertoire. At the end of this 8 week choral journey, we will perform in a concert for family and friends. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to sing with us!
