Our School-Age Child Care (SACC) Program serves children in the Elementary schools for the South Orange/Maplewood School District and follows the School District’s Calendar. Our programs do not run when the schools close for inclement weather. Our YMCA does offer a Child Care program called “Vacation Camp” for most of the scheduled days that the school district is closed. REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Starting Times & Locations: This Program is offered to children in grades K-5 and is held on site, in the individual school cafeterias at the following elementary schools: (before school care is not available at Jefferson Elementary)

*The program for South Mountain Annex students is held at the South Mountain Elementary School, and it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that there is a space reserved with the school district for bus transportation to the Annex site each morning.
** A delayed opening cancels the Before School Care Program at that School.
Program Description: Students will be engaged in activities and playtime until it is time to be accompanied to their class line-ups.
Fee: $178/month - for the 2014-15 school year - This program runs 5 days a week. There is not an option to register for a partial week.
Families, who are currently registered in either our SACC programs or our Early Childhood Learning Center who are entering Kindergarten, will have first priority to re-enroll for the 2015-16 school year until April 15th or until registration at your preferred site is full. As of April 27th, we will begin taking registrations from the general public on a first come, first served basis.
Priority Re-Enrollment: March 30 - April 15, 2015 (or until program is full)
Registration Accepted from Public: Monday, April 27, 2015 (until program is full)
For those who are new to the program - PLEASE Click on this link -> for the SACC Registration Form for the 2015-16 school year. Please fill out all forms completely and indicate the programs (Before and/or After School Child Care) and the location for which you are registering your child.
NEW this year – Families are asked to provide a CURRENT photo of each child who is new to our program – especially incoming siblings, kindergarteners and children switching sites.
All enrollment forms must be filled out completely and returned to the South Mountain YMCA, 13 Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood with the following payments:
1) $50 Registration Fee (Waived if currently enrolled and re-registered by April 15th
2) Current Annual Membership Fee ($80 Individual or $150 Family)
3) A current photo of your child with their name written on the back along with their school site.
4) Security Deposit/one month's tuition (to be used for June or the last month's tuition with 30 days written notice of withdrawal)
5) First Month's Tuition (1st month will be charged in Sept '16 when signed up for Auto Credit card payments)
