We design all our classes to expand children’s learning and curiosity. Our goal is to enrich physical and emotional needs while enhancing academics in a safe, fun and creative atmosphere.  As a result, children foster new friendships, develop social skills and grow more inquisitive every day.

Tiny Tumblers I (Walking – 2 ½ yrs) 
This introduction to gymnastics develops gross motor skills with rolling, balancing, swinging and crawling. Have fun stretching, playing parachute games, running obstacle courses, skill building, singing and more in a structured environment. This is a terrific class helps children transition into more independent gymnastics and sports classes.

This toddler class has more advanced instruction and is for those who have taken Tiny Tumblers I or other gym classes.

Learn the art of storytelling through all types of puppets! Each week, we create a new puppet using assorted materials.

Yoga Friends (Walking - 3 yrs)
Certified by Yoga Alliance, Varrita teaches yoga to both adults and children in this class. Get your exercise while the little ones learn along! Parent/chaperone required to stay.

Sensory Explorers (Walking - 3 yrs)
Get your hands dirty in this sensational sensory class!  Each week, we create sculptures, make clay, form goo and more! This class is perfect for the toddler who likes to dig, mix and mold! Parent/chaperone required to stay.

Music & Me (Walking – 4 yrs)
Explore melodies with instruments, stomp around on our Giant Piano Mat and soak up music vocabulary. We sing songs and play instruments in games and activities.

Giggle & Groove (0 – 4 yrs)

Open Play (Walking - 3yrs)
Open Play is five days a week and is only for children currently enrolled an Adult/Child class. Shake out your wiggles before classes begin at this unstructured, supervised free play. Participation required; one adult per child. Registration is required. (81091)

Family Game Time (Walking - 3 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Learn the basics of board games such as Don’t Break the Ice, Memory, and more. We practice counting, sharing, taking turns, word recognition, and colors. Discover a new game each week!  Parent/chaperone required to stay.

Team for Tots (Walking – 2 1/2 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Parachute play, relay races and sports including soccer, basketball and more! Parent/chaperone required to stay.

PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES

Mini Music Makers (2 - 3yrs)
Explore the heart of music and rhythm with musical instruments, toe tapping music and silly songs. Learn basic musical vocabulary, notes on the staff, and more through encouraging activities. Staff picks up ECLC students and brings to/from class.

Ballet I (3 - 4yrs)
Young dancers develop the fundamentals of creative movement, explore free motion and grasp an understanding of dance language. Ballet slippers are recommended, not required. Mini Recital performance is at the end of the session.

Ballet II (4 - 6yrs)
Dancers move through steps at the barre, floor progressions and center. We introduce and incorporate terminology, musicality, rhythm, and creative movement. Dancers are kept on their toes exploring new vocabulary and establishing dance routines. Ballet slippers are recommended not required. Mini Recital performance is at the end of the session.

Cirque du SOMA (5 - 10yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Come one, come all! This fusion class combines gymnastics, dance, performance, and circus arts. We explore floor acrobatics, the trampoline, obstacle courses, tightrope, hooping and suspension.  Plus, we practice with circus props such as ribbons, hoops, juggling scarves & bubbles!

Musical Theatre (5 - 10yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2 BUT BE SURE TO COME SEE SCHOOL OF ROCK IN DECEMBER!
We bring our love of theater to the Y with improv exercises, theatre games, vocal warmups, dance combinations and movement routines. Our end of session showcase shines brightly! Staff brings SAAC students enrolled at the Program Center to/from class.

Funky Dance (3-5yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
This active, fast paced class instills a love of movement through dances that we learn to perform together.

Hip Hop Dance (5-8 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Let's get grooving!  Designed to introduce Hip-Hop culture through dance and movement. All music is age-appropriate.  All levels welcome, come comfortably dressed! Staff brings SAAC students enrolled at the Program Center to/from class.

Cooking Around the World (3 - 5 yrs)
Food is a terrific way to introduce children to new cultures. We explore a new country or culture each week and cook lunch along with one “sweet” item. The focus is on keeping meals healthy.

Travel around the world in 8 weeks! Each week we feature a country to learn about the language, food, clothing, music and architecture. Our Global Travel “passports” are stamped throughout the 8 weeks to collect the places they go!

I Can Learn Spanish (3 - 5 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Basics of Spanish are taught in various mediums such as play, song, stories and conversation.  In addition to experiencing the culture, we learn colors, numbers, animals, shapes and more!

Are you a mini meteorologist? Learn all about the weather and natural phenomena that shape our world through experiments. Learn new terminology, problem solve through experimentation and gain a new understanding of the weather happening outside our window.

Slimy Science (3-5yrs)
Prepare to get messy! We introduce kids to scientific concepts while getting our hands dirty. Make oobleck and cloud dough, play with gel beads, erupt volcanos and many more crazy projects!

Princess Academy (3-5yrs) 
Walk, talk and act like a Princess! Learn to be a true princess through etiquette lessons, dancing, singing and speech. Class culminates in a performance by our princesses and each receives a tiara to signify program completion!

Tiny Tinkerers (3 - 4 yrs)
We create and design projects at the tiniest level! Curriculum includes building towers, utilizing gears and tools as well as free play to allow for adventurous construction! We incorporate STEM based learning. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Little Chefs (3 - 5 yrs)
Our little chefs learn different food preparation techniques as they make their own lunches and one “sweet” item for dessert. We focus on keeping it healthy and introduce nutrition into preschoolers’ vocabulary. We also create a cookbook so you can try these yummy recipes at home!

Fun with Phonics (3 - 5 yrs)
Fun with phonics is a fantastic way to enhance vocabulary and improve on letter, word and sound recognition. Through songs, stories, crafts and other activities, children grasp of the alphabet in a completely new way.

Gain a better understanding of mathematical concepts by participating in physical activities, cooperative play, and games designed to strengthen number recognition, counting, patterns and sequencing.

Discover Dinos (3-5yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Go back 65 million years to learn about dinosaurs! Our Preschool Paleontologists make their own fossils and volcanoes while studying all you want to know about dinosaurs. A science class for all dino lovers!

Create & Cook (3 - 5 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
A new twist on our current cooking class, this class adds an extra half hour art project! Each week we make a food project and an art project based on a theme. Perfect for the creativity, curious artist and cook! 

The Art of Comics and Cartooning (5 - 12 yrs) NOT OFFERED IN FALL 2
Captain America, Spiderman, Batman- all started as ideas and drawings on a page! Learn to design characters, draw figure and sequence storyboards to create a comic book of your own! Together we stretch our drawing muscles and produce some amazing masterpieces. Staff picks up SACC students enrolled at the Program Center and brings to/from class.
