Pre-Teen Adventure (Entering Grades 5-6)
Pre-Teen and Teen Adventure Camps are designed to strengthen decision-making skills, encourage social responsibility, and team work through challenging and fun character-building experiences. The pre-teen and teenage years are an important time in a child's life as they learn to make decisions on their own and come to understand some of the impact of their own actions.
The Pre-Teen and TEEN Adventure Camps follow an extensive travel schedule with trips each week to places such as: Dorney Park, Mountain Creek, Camel Beach, Laser Tag, Dave and Busters, NY City, bowling, roller skating, museums and local beaches and lakes. Teen Campers (7th-9th graders) attend three overnights held , including a camp-out at our beautiful "sister" branch, Fairview Lake YMCA camp grounds. The camps will be divided by grades for groups, but may interact for activities such as team-building exercises, games, sports, crafts, community service projects and swimming twice a week when not on trips. Staff are college-educated, fully trained and demonstrate a desire to develop positive values in youth.
