South Mountain YMCA

Summer Discovery

At Summer Discovery we're curious and always asking questions about the world around us. Each week we concoct and construct hands-on experiments and STEM projects that delight our sense of wonder. Each day we foster community, promote personal growth and stimulate summer learning with discussions, outdoor play, art projects, gardening swimming and more! Swim instruction is three days a week. Daily outdoor activities and weekly field trips help campers become more environmentally minded.

Parent Testimonials

"This has been a phenomenal experience for our son.  He's really loved the weekly themes, field trips aligned to the themes and the new friends he's made! Thank you!"

"Our daughter just loved this camp. The material was  interesting and engaging, the field trips were perfect, and she loved writing notes in her journal. The counselors are attentive - my daughter asked a lot of questions and they were always willing to answer, or help her find the answer herself."
