Before and After School Care
Registration is now open for the 2017-2018 school year Before and After School Programs.
Peace of mind comes from knowing your child is in a safe and nurturing environment after school. The Sussex County YMCA provides Before and After School Programs at Blairstown and Hardyston Elementary Schools. After School Child Care is provided at Franklin Elementary School to meet the needs of working parents. Our staff provides homework assistance and supervised sports games and enrichment activities to keep your child safe and engaged each day. The Before and After School programs promote healthy lifestyles through participation in fun, physical activity as part of the Y’s Healthy U program. Children make friends, acquire life skills and learn the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Spaces are limited, early registration is recommended. Completed registration forms must be received by August 15 to start the first day of school.

To view our current monthly tuition for Before Care or Before and After Care please view our Hardyston Elementary monthly tuition guide. Our tuition for the Franklin Before Care program will follow the same monthly fee schedule as the Hardyston program.
School Aged Child Care Parent Handbook
How to Register:
Pre-registration is required for all Before and After School Programs. Please complete the Initial Registration form and return to the Sussex County YMCA with payment. Print and read the Parent Handbook. Print, sign and return Medical Release Form, Parent Agreement, Permission to give medication if necessary. All paperwork and payment must be completed and received at the Sussex County YMCA office at least 24 hours prior to you child starting in the program.
Tuition: The cost for all programs is based on the ten month school year calendar. The initial registration form, a non-refundable individual membership, registration fee and security deposit must be received before your child can be registered in the program. The security deposit (one month's tuition payment) is applied to the last month your child is in the program or June's payment. Subsequent tuition payments not received by the 1st of the month are subject to a $15 late fee.
Registration: A security deposit, individual membership fee and registration fee is due with the application. Subsequent payments are due prior to the 1st of every month.
Extra Days: Fees are $20 for after care, and $15 before care.

Why choose YMCA School Age Child Care?
No need to worry about transportation - After School Care begins at school dismissal (including scheduled half days) until 6:00 PM. Before School Care currently at Blairstown begins at 6:30am and Hardyston Elementary 7:00am until school begins.
Need a flexible schedule? Choose between 2-5 days a week.

It’s affordable! Tuition is paid monthly and is based on your weekly schedule. Discounts are also available for siblings.

It’s safe! All of our School Age Child Care sites are licensed by the State of New Jersey’s Division of Youth and Family Services, meeting and exceeding their standards. Our staff all receive on-going training throughout the year, and are certified in CPR and First Aid.
