One on one instruction, suitable for adults or children. Lessons move at your own pace, meeting your own needs.
ADAPTIVE AQUATICS (All ages)
Designed for those people whose disabilities impair mobility on land, but can function independently in the water. Our staff facilitates a program which allows participants to take part in physical activity safely and successfully. For more information, please contact the Aquatics Department at 973 209 9622.
ARTHRITIS AQUATIC EXERCISE
This water - based program is designed to improve flexibility, strength, mobility and physical fitness in people with arthritis and a variety of other conditions.
Please note: All course participants must provide a signed participant form prior to starting the program.
BACKYARD SWIM PROGRAM (SUMMER ONLY)
The YMCA can coordinate a variety of swim lessons at your home. Recruit friends and neighbors to join you and the YMCA will take care of everything else, from scheduling to staffing and insurance. All pools are subject to a YMCA safety inspection.
DEEP WATER FITNESS
A deep water exercise class using aqua belts, noodles and hand bells, providing a challenging workout for all fitness levels.
Family swim times are scheduled regulary throughout the week for our members and guests. Family swim times are an excellent opportunity to practice swimming skills through water play.
Great way to get fit in a buoyant aquatic environment. A balanced and varied workout - including cardiovascular endurance, toning and stretching.
