Waterfront Lifeguard Training

Prerequisite:  Pass a mandatory swim test on the first day of class.  Upon successful completion, all will be certified with pool and waterfront lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. 

$325 Facility Member   $400 Program/Community Member

If the candidate is unsuccessful in passing the prerequisite test a deduction of the following rates will be applied to their refund. (Facility Member:  $30   Program/Community Member:  $50)
If a candidate completes the course and does not pass the course, a refund or credit will NOT be applied.  Please do not register if you are not confident in your swimming abilities.

The following dates are offered for a Full Certification:

April 17, 18, 19, 20 (12:00-5:30pm)

 

Lifeguard Recertification Class

For those who have already completed the lifeguard training class, but their certifications are expiring.  This class includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED and First Aid. 

Facility Member:  $150   Program/Community Member:  $200
No refunds will be granted, but credit can be issued for up to 1 year.
The following dates are offered for a Re - Certification:

December 9 (3:00-10:00)
January 16 (8:00am-2:00pm)
February 12 (10:00am-6:00pm)
March 11 (4:00-10:00pm)
April 21 (9:30am-5:30pm)

 

cpr/AED for the professional rescuer

This class offers an advanced level of CPR training for individuals who have a job related "duty to respond" to emergencies.  The 6-hour course includes an overview of body systems and medical/legal issues.  Participants learn how to recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults, children and infants, with special emphasis on two-rescuer CPR use of the resuscitation mask, bag-valve mask and automated external defibrillator.  Techniques for minimizing the risk of disease transmission and for special resuscitation situations are included.   

Facility Member:  $55    Program/Community Member:  $65
