Campers will learn teamwork during the Mayors Circle of Excellence Summer Day Camp.

LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is teaming up with the City of Orange to create a memorable summer experience for local kids in Orange, NJ.

The Mayor’s Circle of Excellence Summer Day Camp gives children and teens the opportunity to make new friends and enrich their character through weekly themes, projects, sports, creative play, swimming and more. The camp is open to children ages 6-14 and runs from July 1 through Aug. 9 at the Lincoln Avenue School in Orange.

The Y has been a national leader in providing summer camp experiences for more than 130 years.

“Summer camp offers a fun, safe and nurturing environment for youth to explore their interests, discover new talents, and challenge themselves, while building their self-esteem and self-reliance,” states James Goodger, senior executive director of the South Mountain YMCA. “We are excited to partner with the City of Orange to bring a quality camp experience to children and families in the community.”

"I am excited about the collaboration between the City of Orange Township and the YMCA as we pool our resources to create a summer experience that will help our children grow physically, academically and socially,” states Orange Mayor Dwayne D. Warren, Esq. “All of Orange will benefit from this new community partnership!"
