LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, a leading provider of quality early childhood education, is thrilled to announce new hiring opportunities for passionate and dedicated professionals at its Essex County child care locations.

The Y is offering sign-on bonuses up to $2,000 for select positions in addition to a number of competitive benefits and professional development opportunities. Additionally, the Y provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education and mentorship, 50 percent discount on child care tuition for staff, plus financial assistance for those who qualify.

Key Positions Available:

  • Lead Teachers at East Orange, West Essex, and South Mountain YMCAs: Responsible for creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assistant Teachers at East Orange, West Essex, and South Mountain YMCAs: Support lead teachers in daily classroom activities and ensure a safe, caring environment for all children.
  • Assistant Director at West Essex YMCA: Supports the Director of Early Childhood Learning in the successful development, growth and management of the ECLC program.
  • Family Worker at West Essex YMCA: Supports families in their role as their child’s first teacher, encouraging parent/child interactions that promote school readiness and healthy development and enhancing family well-being.
