NEW MILFORD, NJ - The Greater Bergen County YMCA - New Milford Center has promoted former Y youth sports director Jason Kelly to be the new Associate Executive Director, working alongside the Executive Director to enhance programs and services that uphold the Y’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

As a kid growing up in Webster, NY, near Lake Ontario, Doug Phelps lived right next door to his local YMCA and has fond memories of sledding down the Y’s hill in winter time, and then playing pickup basketball games with friends after school as a teen. 

To Susan DiGiacomo, the end result of a building project is more than just the aesthetic outcomes; it’s also about how it will be received by the community. One of the rewarding aspects of her job in construction management is seeing how a new or redesigned building can fuel the “economic engine” for a town or city.
