Board of Managers

Our Board of Managers aims to ensure that all families and children have the opportunity to experience the Y, regardless of their ability to pay. We believe lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. Practicing the FOUR CORE values of the Y: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility will continue to strengthen and help our community thrive.

It's easy for me to volunteer for the Y's board. My children grew up as Y kids and through the Y they've learned the Y's norms: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The positive lessons imparted have made them kids with heart, and an understanding and eagerness to engage the diverse community and world they live in.

Being a working parent is challenging, and I'm so grateful for the services and sense of community that my family has come to rely on from the YMCA over the past 10 years. We've got enough other stuff to worry about, so it's great to know that my kids will always get high quality programs with experienced staff who are committed to teaching and role modeling the Y's core values.
