YMCA Summer Camp

 

Registration Now Open!

At the Y, we let you pay your summer camp balance in a way that works for you! When you sign up, you'll need to provide payment information, but you stay in control. As long as you pay each installment before the due date listed on your receipt, no automatic payment will be processed. If you partially pay early, only the remaining balance will be charged. You can make payments anytime from registration until each installment’s due date, at any frequency.
To pay your balance:
  • Click here and log into your online account
  • Visit your branch’s Welcome Center
  • Call our Remote Welcome Center at 973-758-9039

ALL CAMPS: Starting February 1, a $35 administrative fee will be added for changes to your camp experience. April 1 - Final day for camp deposit refund.

Great Summers Start At The Y!

The West Essex YMCA offers a wide variety of Summer Day Camps that are perfect for children from preschool through teens. Our camps provide activities that are educational, exciting and fun, but most importantly, build self-esteem, lasting friendships, and treasured memories. 

We intentionally design our camps to be progressive, adding new levels of exploration, responsibility, and adventure.

Summer Sprouts Day Camp - (ages 3-5)


Pioneer Trails Day Camp - Back at Caldwell University! (from K through 8th Grade)


Super Summer Day Camp (entering K - 6th grade)


Teen Adventure Camp (entering 7th to 9th grade)


Counselor-in-Training Program (entering 9th and 10th grade) is available at Pioneer Trails and Super Summer Day Camps. Check out the camp pages for more information.

Our Staff

We carefully select and screen caring role models who demonstrate a passion for developing confidence and good character in youth. The West Essex YMCA camp staff guides campers in making the right decisions and displaying empathy and compassion towards others. The Y values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility are emphasized throughout our camp programs.

The Y maintains a commitment to a recruitment process that includes comprehensive training and background checks. A large percentage of our staff works year-round for the Y with many years of experience and training.
