East Orange YMCA
After School Care

As a leading nonprofit for strengthening community, the Y believes access to afterschool programs is important for all kids, but for young people in low-income or struggling environments, they are critically important to supporting academic achievement and providing the kind of enrichment that sparks passions, builds skills and opens doors.
We believe every child is full of promise and possibilities, and we love being there when a child realizes it, too.
This 5 day/week program follows the East Orange School District calendar. This includes all scheduled half days. Our programs are canceled when schools close for inclement weather or other school emergencies.
Our well-trained staff are focused on meeting the needs of each individual participant who are committed to serving as excellent role models for the community and will help to establish an atmosphere where parents can be secure and confident about the place their child grows. The program is fully licensed by the State of New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families. We are also accredited by the New Jersey School Age Child Care Association (SACC) since 2006.
