Personal Fitness Training

We offer a wide variety of personal training packages for individuals at the YMCA or in the privacy of your house. Training is perfect for anyone at any age who is looking to increase their fitness level, learn proper exercise techniques, gain confidence, lose weight, post physical therapy, sports specific or gain a better balance of health and wellness.

Our certified trainers can train in various areas including strength, yoga, cycle, triathletes, cardiovascular, preparation for obstacle races and TRX.


Personal Training Made Easy is a simple, easy way to pay monthly for personal training sessions to help keep you on track with your fitness goals.

  • You select 2, 4, 6, 8 or 12 monthly sessions with a Sussex County YMCA certified personal trainer and pre-pay each month.
  • All paperwork must be completed prior to first personal training session.

What if I have to miss a session?

  • In the event that you cannot meet for a scheduled session, a 24-hour advance notice must be given to the Personal Trainer, otherwise you will forfeit the session,  For a missed session in which 24 hour notice has been given, you and your trainer may reschedule the missed session during the same month.

Can I hold or cancel my participation in the program?

  • You may put your Personal Training Automatic Draft on hold for up to 3 months.  The automatic draft will begin on the second day of the month following the hold.  All hold requests must be received in writing 7 days before the monthly draft ti guarantee processing for the next billing cycle.
  • You may terminate your Personal Training Automatic Draft by giving the Y a 7-day written notice of cancellation.

What are the benefits to this program?

  • You will receive one on one consultation reviewing your personal goals, assessments including weight, blood pressure, BMI, endurance testing, and max strength.

    There are two ways to train:

    TRX ® Suspension Training®

    Body weight exercise simultaneously develops strength, power, endurance, mobility, durability, balance, flexibility, and core stability.

    TRX Rip Training®

    Variable resistance exercise is a multifaceted approach to strength and cardiovascular conditioning that challenges you in all three planes of motion every rep, every set, every workout. Equally adept as a rehab tool, a strength and conditioning tool, and a regenerative tool.

EXTREME FITNESS CHALLENGE ( Intro & Weigh In: Sat. 4/20, Program begins April 23)
Burn Fat and build lean muscle in just 6 weeks!
This challenge is designed to put you on the path to a learner, stronger, and more confident you!  In this course, you will be led by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable coach, while being in a fun, upbeat atmosphere.  You will learn correct form and technique for functional training and cross training exercises while learning valuable tools to keep you fit for life.

Program will include:

  • 6 weeks of Support & Coaching
  • Nutritional Support
  • Cardiovascular Conditioning
  • Before & After Pictures
  • Weekly Progress Reviews
  • Bi Weekly Weigh-Ins
  • Strength & Functional Training

Tues 6:30-7:30pm Activity Studio
Thurs 6:30 - 7:30pm Outdoors / Rain or shine
Sun 8:30 - 9:30am Gym
