South Mountain YMCA
After School Care Program
School Age Child Care (SACC) extends your child’s learning day in a fun and meaningful way! We emphasize the Y’s four core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all activities. SACC serves children in all elementary schools for the South Orange/Maplewood School District and follows the School District’s Calendar. We offers Vacation Camp, a Child Care Program, for most of the days that the school district is scheduled to be closed. We also offer Snow Camp, for most school snow days.
This 5 day/week program follows the South Mountain/Maplewood School District calendar. This includes all scheduled half days. Students need to bring a peanut-free lunch on scheduled half days. Our programs are canceled when schools close for inclement weather or other school emergencies.

The CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) program is also applied which guides children and families to develop healthier habits and lifestyles.
