Tzofim Friendship Caravan

Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00pm

Join us for an entertaining and exciting evening that will have you on your feet dancing, clapping and singing with these young emissaries from Israel.  This Caravan is a group of energetic Israeli teens who are leaders in their Scout chapters in Israel.  They travel across North America using song, dance and personal stories to share friendship and love for Israel.  This concert is free and open to the public. 

Lunch and Learn

A lunchtime workout for the mind now in its 27th year!  Participants interact with and challenge guest facilitators in an informal setting.  Each session offers discussion on an aspect of Jewish tradition, history, modern Israel or a relevant contemporary Jewish issue.  Bring your own lunch. Coffee and tea served.

Meet Michael J. Weinstein, author and photographer of "Ten Times Chai."  During the past three years, Michael visited over 24 Holocaust survivors and photographed existing Orthodox synagogues in over 60 neighborhoods.  His talk focuses on his conversations with the Survivors and his experiences in the different neighborhoods he visited.  This program is free but RSVPs for the dinner are required.

Judy Weil lives in Wayne and has been a long time Wayne Y member. She is also an active member of Wayne’s Jewish community and was the Executive Director of the Summit Jewish Community Center for 12 years.

Aya Adut will be joining us this fall!  Aya will work in the Wayne and surrounding Jewish communities as well as the Wayne Y to share her knowledge of Israel with our preschoolers, seniors and everyone in between!
