Wiggle Worms (2-4yrs)

Learn basic gymnastic skills including rhythmic movement, rolls, jumps, landings and stands. Parent stays for class.

Rookie Sports (2½-5yrs)

Learn the fundamentals of basic sports: throwing, catching, kicking, running, dribbling, and more in a fun, non-competitive play environment.

Pre-School Basketball Instructional League (3-5yrs)

Build skills, learn about teamwork, and have fun while participating in weekly basketball games.  Half of the time is instruction and skill building, the other half is playing small sided games.

Youth Basketball (ages 9-11 yrs)

Learn the fundamentals of basketball through games and new drills.  Emphasis on participation, sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development and having fun.

Youth Basketball: Skill Development (10-14yrs)

This program is made to improve your basketball skills. Learn the basic fundamentals of shooting, passing, and dribbling. Mastering these fundamentals/skills at a young age will put you head of the game! This class will be taught by our Sports Coordinator and former 1,000 point scorer at Sparta High School, Zach Frick.

Co-ed Middle School Basketball (10-14yrs)

While participating in weekly game play boys and girls will be able to fine-tune their skills, learn good sportsmanship, and have
fun. All games will be supervised by YMCA staff members.

Soccer Club (3-6yrs)

Learn basic soccer skills in a play environment with emphasis on being active, following directions, and having fun.

Baseball/Softball (7-12yrs)

Learn the fundamentals of baseball or softball: hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. Skills taught in a small group setting
with individualized instruction. Instructional game play included.

Kids Cardio (8-11yrs)

Kids work in the wellness center with a certified trainer. The trainer will coach and support the kids as they work towards
increasing conditioning. Great for improving overall cardio ability and weight loss.

Monday 5:30-6:15pm
Learn tennis skills: hand-eye coordination, back and forehand strokes, serving, rules, scoring, strategy, and match play.

Youth/Teen Personal Training (Ages 7-18)

Training specific to your youth and teen’s needs. Your personal trainer will help you set realistic attainable goals based on your individual
needs. They will assist you with proper form and technique to ensure you work towards gaining desired results
• Improve muscle tone and flexibility • Improve nutritional habits • Increase strength, cardiovascular and functional abilities • Lose weight
• Gain confidence and improve self-esteem • Make healthy living a lifestyle • Sports specific training


FREE Teen Training (Ages 11-15)

Teens train with certified trainer to lean the strength circuit line of equipment, the cardio machines and proper fitness center etiquette to
ensure a safe start. Register at the Welcome Center. All teens need complete permission form signed. Upon completion teens receive a teen
training card which must be present while utilizing the fitness center.
Sunday  12:00-2:00pm


Teen Coaching (Ages 11-17)

Prerequisite: Teen Training- Train with experienced Wellness Coaches. Learn proper techniques for safe exercise and create positive behaviors
for a healthier lifestyle. Ideal for teens wishing to increase overall fitness and gain confidence, even meet new friends. The program runs for
eight consecutive weeks from when you register. Choose up to three nights a week. Sign up today for 2 free trail weeks.
Monday-Friday   6:00-8:00pm


YOUTH PHYSICAL CONDITIONING

This program is to develop to encourage non-sports oriented youth to gain better overall wellness including participating in regular exercise. They will
engage in diverse types of physical training techniques that will help develop a good fitness base including performing repetitive exercise for strength
gain cardiovascular endurance and greater mobility. This program will also enable participants to transition into sports with added confidence.
Bronze:Ages 6-12

SPORTS CONDITIONING FOR ADVANCED ATHLETES

Sport conditioning is now a year-round commitment for many athletes, often including four training seasons each year:
Per-Season • In-Season • Post-Season • Active Rest
Once your athlete has achieved a specific level of general fitness through physical conditioning they can begin to train with more advanced
sport-specific exercises and formats. Format training will include unique exercises which will support specific sport requirements.
Silver: Ages 6-12  Gold: Ages 13-18

SPORTS SPECIFIC TRAINING

School or Team Coaching
Led by experienced coaches who will instruct specifically to fit teams conditioning needs. The program will consist of speed and agility,
strength training, Queenax for full body functionality, explosive plyometrics, foot work, flexibility, yoga and core. Our coaches have the
flexibility to train offsite at your school or at the Sussex County YMCA. Community Members Welcome, Gymnasium Fee’s apply.

VertiMax®
VertiMax® is specially designed to maximize athletic potential by focusing on three key components: speed, explosive power and vertical
jump. Athletes will complete consecutive reps for any given mobility drill. VertiMax® resistance allows athletes to achieve the highest resisted training velocities possible during training. The faster you can train with a load, the greater your high-speed strength gains or power outputs will be. Improve your top end running, or throwing speed, the VertiMax®will give athletes the competitive advantage to reach full potential.
VertiMax® Training Sessions: Available in 30 or 60 minute sessions. Please contact Alma Dhuyvetter for questions or to book your sessions.

Small Group Sports Training: 2-4 Participants
This format includes 60 minute sessions where participants rotate through sports specific power exercises utilizing different equipment including the Queenax and VertiMax®.

Personal Sports Training / Coaching
60 minute coaching sessions that are scheduled at your convenience with a certified trainer. These sessions will enable your athlete to train
according to their sport specific goals. A variety of equipment including the Queenax and VertiMax® will be utilized.


FITNESS ASSESSMENTS

Group assessments are available and consist of baseline physical tests which enable the coaches to identify the best direction for
your youth to move forward with their conditioning training. These assessments take place the first 30 minutes during the first class.
Assessments are also available the weekend prior to the start of each session for participants who are not sure whether to participate in
Youth Physical Conditioning or Sports Conditioning Advanced Athletes. Dates and times will be posted prior the start of each session.
Personal Coaching assessments are completed upon request and performed by a Sports Coach.
