Youth Sports Program

 
FALL 2018 CLASS SCHEDULE 

Badminton (Ages 7-12)

Your child will have fun training in a group as we learn the basics of Badminton.  Skills include:  serving, foot work, volleying and scoring. 


 

Basketball (Ages 3-6+)

Learn the basic fundamentals of basketball dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense. Players learn in a supportive environment where focus is on learning the game, not playing to win.


 

C.A.T.C.H. (Ages 7-12)

Coordinated Approach to Child Health.  This is a physical activity class which features fitness, fun games and challenges.


 

Flag Football (Ages 7-12)

Whether your child is a Jets or Giants fan, our exciting flag football class is the perfect outlet of their football passion.  This program provides an introduction to the game o football in a fun environment with skill development.


 

Running Club  (Ages 7-12)

Instill a healthier lifestyle in children by encouraging them to run regularly.  Along with ample running time, the program will involve keeping a log to track progress.  Curriculum hosted by marathon Kids includes:  warming up, cooling down, stretching, exercise physiology and good form, running safety and hydration, and guidance on running a race.


 

Soccer Clinic (Ages 3-9)

Learn the fundamentals of soccer, importance of fair play, teamwork and good sportsmanship in this introductory class.


 

Sports Bugs (Ages 3-5)

An introduction to sports. This class helps build children's motor skills and hand eye coordination. Sports include: Tee ball, Soccer, Basketball and other age appropriate sports.  Games will be modified to suit children's age as well as athletic and physical ability.


 

Tee Ball Clinic (Ages 3-5)

Learn the basics of baseball/softball.  The clinic gives kid good, basic information and the skills they will need to enjoy the sport for a lifetime!  Your child will learn how to throw, catch and hit correctly, and positions of the game.


 

Tennis (Ages 4+)

Learn the basic skills of tennis, scoring, forehand, backhand, and footwork. Held indoors in the Y Gym, participants will have fun learning skills. All levels welcome.  Equipment supplied.


 

Youth Yoga (Ages 5-11)
FREE FOR FACILITY MEMBERS

Learn the basics of relaxation, focus, breathing and balance.


Private Sports Lessons (Ages 5-15)
Baseball, basketball, roller hockey, soccer and tennis. By Appointment.
30-minute sessions
Private $35 per 1/2 hour session
Private $60 per 1 hour session
