Youth Sports Program

 

 

Fall 1 Program Schedule
(September 7 - November 1)


Sports Galore 3-5yrs This class helps build children’s motor skills and hand eye coordination. Sports include: tee ball, soccer,
basketball, hockey, and other age appropriate sports.
     
Little Hoopsters 3-6yrs Learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and team concepts of offensive
& defensive play.
     
Little Cleats 3-6yrs Learn the fundamentals of soccer: dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense, along with teamwork and
concepts of offensive & defensive play.
     
Kinder Tennis 4-6yrs Learn the basics of tennis: scoring, forehand, backhand, & footwork. Held indoors at the Y - supplies provided.
     
Intro to
Tae Kwon Do
5-8yrs Learn the beginners technique with a special emphasis on physical conditioning while building self- confdence and discipline.
     
Beginner Chess 6-9yrs Calling all Curious Chess Players, learn the basics of chess and how to play including learning about
strategy and how to win your next chess game!
     
Goal-Getters 7-12yrs Learn the fundamentals of soccer: dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense, along with teamwork and
concepts of offensive & defensive play.
     
Intermediate
Tennis
7-12yrs Learn the basics of tennis: scoring, forehand, backhand, & footwork. Held indoors at the Y - supplies provided.
     
Running Club 7-12yrs Instill a healthier lifestyle in children by encouraging them to run regularly. Along with ample running
time, the program will involve keeping a log to track progress.
Curriculum hosted by Marathon Kids®
includes: Warming up, cooling down, stretching, exercise physiology and good form, running safety and
hydration, and guidance on running a race.
     
All-Stars
(Basketball Clinic)
7+yrs Learn the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, defens

 


Youth Yoga (Ages 5-11)
FREE FOR FACILITY MEMBERS

Learn the basics of relaxation, focus, breathing and balance.


Private Sports Lessons (Ages 5-15)
Baseball, basketball, roller hockey, soccer and tennis. By Appointment.
30-minute sessions
Private $30 per 1/2 hour session
Private $55 per 1 hour session
