DRAMA CLUB


Y-Arts After-School Drama Club is a new program offered during after-school hours at the Wayne YMCA. Students in the Drama Club will learn about many aspects of stagecraft, self-discipline and the importance of hard work, creativity and imaginative play, listening and observation skills, all with an overall goal of building self-confidence.

Students will receive instruction taught by theater professionals in all areas of theater including, but not limited to Improv, Acting, Voice, Audition Technique, Musical Theater Dance, Prop/Set Making, Puppetry, Technical Theater, Playwriting, Directing, Stage Management, Costuming, Hair/Makeup.  There will be several performances throughout the year on the Rosen PAC stage.

GRADES K-5: Y-Arts Junior Company meets Tuesday’s 4:30pm - 6:30pm
GRADES 6-8: Y-Arts Company meets Wednesday’s 4:30pm - 6:30pm

Pricing

Families will be charged based on actual number of classes in the month.  The charges will vary month to month based on the number of days in the month that the class meets. Classes begin the week of September 3, 2019 and run through the week of May 28, 2020

Family Facility Member - $37.00 per 2 hour class*
Facility / Program Member - $41.00 per 2 hour class*
Community Member - $46.00 per 2 hour class

*YMCA After-School program participants are eligible for a 50% discount.
