Summer Camp Director

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced summer camp leader to serve as our Summer Camp Director providing opportunities for sailing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and more. Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Summer Camp Director is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning and operation of summer camp, including summer camp program administration and development, fiscal management, staff administration and development, quality control and program recruitment. This is an all-year around position that will work toward ensuring camp program enrollment growth while supporting branch strategic goals, program development and implementation, marketing, financial development goals, staff development, alumni and volunteer recruitment, and risk management.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of increasing experience in resident camping and proven experience in supervision and development of staff.
  • Proficient in fiscal management.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Computer proficiency and excellent organizational skills.
  • YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred.


Living on premises may be required; on-site housing will be provided.
