Golf Tournament

The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges Annual Golf Tournament provides our players and sponsors the opportunity to network with a prestigious group of local New Jersey business professionals, enjoy access to a nationally ranked course, and REAL impact in our local communities.. Last year's tournament raised over $104,000 for the Y’s “Y for All” Fund, which helps individuals and families experiencing financial hardship through direct financial aid.  Thanks to the generous support of our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers we were able to send 40 additional campers to summer camp through scholarships, support over 100 families enrolled in our childcare services, and support seniors and families in need of membership support to live happy healthy lives.

In 2024 the Metro Y distributing over $3 million in direct financial assistance and an additional $1.5 million in community benefits to members of the Metro Y’s seven branches: East Orange, Fairview Lake, Greater Bergen County, South Mountain, Sussex County, Wayne, and West Essex YMCAs.

The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges held its 30th Annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 26, 2024, raising a net total of $167,000 for the Y’s “Y for All” Fund, which helps reduce the cost of Y programs for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. 

The outing also netted a record $67,100 in camp scholarships, or Camperships, which will helped 1 in 4 kids in need attend a Y summer camp.
