PERFORMING ARTS AT THE SOUTH MOUNTAIN Y

Fall Session runs from October 3rd - December 18th

The South Mountain YMCA, Maplewood New Jersey, youth performing arts classes and shows are created to encourage curiosity and creativity as well as to develop self-confidence and art appreciation in an inclusive, nurturing and supportive environment.
Drop-off is required, adults may not stay for class.

YOUTH THEATRE CLASSES

Acting Techniques (6 - 10 yrs)
Gain a foundation in acting and grow your ability to perform. Throughout the 10 week session, we will explore the different acting techniques and put them into practice. Step into a variety of characters and expand your imagination!
VIRTUAL OPTION AVAILABLE. Virtual participants can participate via Zoom.
Wednesday 3:00-5:00pm
Location: First Presbyterian & Trinity Church (111 Irvington Avenue, South Orange)
Instructor: Miss Gail

Theatre Production Workshop (6 - 10 yrs)
In this class, students will be taken through the process of creating their own production from start to finish. We will devise our own plot and characters and develop a staged performance, complete with set, props, costumes and lighting.
VIRTUAL OPTION AVAILABLE.
