ACTIVE ADULT FEELING FIT
A low intensity, low impact class for cardiovascular and muscular conditioning. A great way for Active Adults to keep fit!


ACTIVE ADULT POUND
Instead of listening to music you become the music in this exhilarating full body workout that combines cardio conditioning and strength training with yoga and Pilates inspired movements while utilizing RIPSTIX.


ACTIVE ADULT STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
You will work on strength exercises through resistance training and cardio through functional training methods.


ADULTS IN MOTION
This class begins with flowing cardio then targets full body strength and conditioning, incorporating balance and flexibility.


AQUA NOODLES
Utilizing pool noodles and the water around you to perform resistance training and cardio exercise to upbeat music.


AQUA ZUMBA®
Jump in- a challenging water-based workout that integrates the Zumba® formula and philosophy into traditional aqua fitness discipline.


BETTER BALANCE
This class is designed for those with muscular impairments from stroke, MS, polio , MD or other causes. You will learn exercises that will help improve balance.


BOOT CAMP
Fitness boot camp mixes traditional calisthenics and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training.  Boot camp is derived from military training designed to challenge you to increase your fitness level.


CARDIO KICKBOXING 
A fun and upbeat cardio workout blending kicks, punches, jabs and calisthenics. This class will improve your endurance, balance and muscle tone.


CARDIO PUMP 
A full body workout that combines intervals of cardiovascular conditioning with strength training exercises. Weights, tubing, bars, steps and balls are incorporated into this energizing class.


CARDIO SCULPT
A full body workout using a combination of resistance for strength and cardio.


CARDIO STEP
Improve cardiovascular endurance, coordination and balance utilizing a step to a choreographed routine.


CHAIR YOGA 
Yoga modified for those who find getting on and off the floor difficult. A chair is used for assistance and support.


CLASSICAL HATHA YOGA
A standardized system of postures, movement and breath.  Gives you basic framework for understanding the sequence of a yoga class.  Light spiritual flare.


CORE BLAST
Includes abdominal, oblique, upper and lower back strengthening exercises, to build a tight core.


EXPRESS FIT
Get a full body work out including strength and cardiovascular in under an hour.  Increase your lean muscle mass, this program speeds up your metabolism, burns fat and aids in weight loss and toning.


FAMILY AND TEEN CIRCUIT
Looking for a fun and healthy family activity?  Have the entire family join in on the fun!  Functional circuit training class for all ages, abilities and levels.


FITNESS YOGA
Build strength, improve flexibility and calm and focus your mind while performing lively and fluid yoga moves slightly different than traditional yoga.  Some yoga experience recommended.


FUNDAMENTALS OF TAI CHI AND QI GONG
This class is an introduction to the basic skills and movements of Tai Chi and Qi Gong.  No experience is required.  Help stability, balance and mondy body control through movement.


GENTLE YOGA
A great class for someone trying yoga for the first time or transitioning from chair yoga. All levels are welcome.


GUIDED MEDITATION
Allow yourself to take a journey to find complete relaxation through verbally guided meditation.


INSANITY® (Ages 16+)
This workout is no walk in the park… Be ready to be soaked in sweat and work out hard with our certified Insanity Trainers. Build muscle and strip away fat working at your max capacity. Challenge yourself during this program to increase your fitness level, lose weight and build confidence.


KETTLEBELL
Get a great resistance and cardio workout that will challenge and strengthen you while learning the art of kettlebell.


MORNING YOGA
This practice will help you tune in your mindful side and set intentions with awareness and breath.  Perfect for all levels as it focuses on alignment and action as well as encourages you to work at your own pace.  Make it your own.


PILATES (Mat)
A mat based class that focuses on strengthening your core muscles through disciplined movements and controlled breathing.


PiYO
Get amazing results!  PiYo combines the muscle sculpting, core firming benefits of Pilates with the Strength and flexibility of Yoga.


SPIN®
Improve your cardiovascular endurance by cycling. Instructors use a variety of music to create a ride that will keep you motivated and your heart pumping. Class sizes are limited; bikes are first come, first serve, tickets available 30 minutes prior to the start of each class at the Welcome Center.


SPIN AND SCULPT
Ride to a cardio pumping spin routine followed by a full body strength workout.  Wrap up with a cool down and deep stretch.


STRENGTH TRAIN TOGETHER
Strength Train Together combines traditional strength exercises wih the hottest functional training moves to make you fitter and stronger.  High-rep training, athletic movements, and periodized training approach are key components of this results- driven workout.


TAIJI (Tai Chi)
All are welcome to participate. Taiji is a practice derived from martial arts that has been developed of all fitness levels and ages.  Develop core strength, manage stress, practice meditative fluid movement, improve self control and balance through this class while having lots of fun.


TOTAL BODY MIXED LEVEL
A thorough workout that is gentle on the joints and easy to follow.  Combination of light cardio and toning.


VIPR MOVE (gentle focus on movement) CONDITION (intermediate)
Perfect for exercisers wanting to build a foundation for healthy movement or athletes needing a competative edge.  This workout focuses on muscles working together to create movement for you entire body.


VINYASA YOGA (Gentle to intermediate)
This class will incorporate elements of Iyengar Yoga for alignment and Ashtanga Yoga for movement and flow.


WATER AEROBICS
A great way to get a full body workout without the impact.  Increase your strength and cardiovascular endurance in a fun but challenging class in the pool.  Great for all levels.


WATER ARTHRITIS
This program  is specifically designed for those with arthritis or for anyone who finds regular exercise too challenging.  This class includes joint range of motion, stretching, breathing and light aerobic activities.


ZUMBA®
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Join the party.


ZUMBA® GOLD
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness created just for Active Adults who want to join the party on a softer note. Join the Party.

Improve your fitness level, engage in a program designed to challenge your through functional training.  This program is modified so you can experience a challenging functional class safely.

AERIAL YOGA
This class utilizes a sling for total body workout.  The silks are suspended from our Queenax so that gravity and your body are the main tool.  Decompress and enhance blood circulation too.

AIKIDO (Ages 17+)
Learn self-defense and discipline. Use your opponent’s energy to gain control.

Thursdays, 8-9pm


BATTLE ROPE CHALLENGE
This eight week high intensity program increases your strength and endurance through interval training.  You will work on the battle rope station in combination with explosive exercises.

Tuesday, 8:30 - 9:30am


EVERYONE IS FIT / ADULTS
A fun fitness class for developmentally disabled members designed to increase physical activity levels in a supportive social environment.  Participant must be accompanied by an aide if one is needed.

KIDS CARDIO PLUS
This program is specifically for those youth looking to increase cardiovascular endurance.  A certified trainer will work with children to create their own goals and encourage them to work towards meeting them.

Monday or Thursday, 6-6:45pm


BEGINNING OR INTERMEDIATE YANG STYLE TAI CHI
Learn skills in the Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi form.  We will learn skills and the sequence of movements of the form.  This a progressive class and new movements will be added on weekly.  No experience necessary for beginning class.

Beginning:  Thursday, 5-5:45pm, Intermediate: Thursday 7-7:45pm


Registered Dietitian Nutritional workshops/Private Counseling
In partnership with Newton Medical Community Health, the Sussex County YMCA presents FREE monthly nutrition lectures. Register at Welcome Center for times and topics. Individual or family nutritional counseling sessions available. See personal training rates at Welcome Center.
