Whole 30 Challenge Program

Monday, April 16 - Wednesday, May 16

Challenge yourself this spring to feel healthier and eat better.  This group program provides support and encouragement for all participants.  Purchasing the Whole 30 book is required. 

Information sessions will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 11:00am and 7:00pm in the Y’s Library.

Diabetes Prevention Program (ages 18+)

A minimum of 8 participants is required to run this class.  A trained lifestyle coach will help individuals at high risk adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle to reduce the chances of developing Type 2 Diabetes.  Insurance may cover your expense.  Participants will receive a FREE Y membership for the time they are enrolled in the program.

Delay the Disease:  Parkinson's Exercise Class

Delay the Disease empowers individuals suffering from Parkinson's disease by optimizing physical function and helping to delay the progression of symptoms.  Geared specifically to counteract the movement challenges that are unique to Parkinson's, this class is taught by certified Parkinson's exercise specialist Drewann Rodney.

BOSU Mobility and Stability for the Active Aging Adult

This class provides participant research based experiences for improvement through mobility and stability "games" for functionality, reaction, fall prevention, coordination, range of motion, and overall self-efficacy.  Taught by an accredited instructor who will help you regain your balance and improve your quality of life.  This is a progressive class for a 10 week program.

Program Fee:  $99

Special Needs Programs

Movin' and Groovin'

This program is designed for special needs individuals and consists of weight training activities and lively music and yoga movements.  Everyone moves at their own pace.

Tuesdays   4:30-5:15pm

Special Needs Movement

Participants ages 6 through adult can get their bodies moving, play fun games with music, props and their own imaginations! The class will travel through the forest, cross the ocean and fly to outer space without ever leaving the Y.

6-10 years      5:00-6:00pm
11-14 years    6:00-7:00pm
15-Adult         7:00-8:00pm
