The YMCA is committed to improving the quality of everyone’s life in spirit, mind and body. Health & Fitness form an important basis for this philosophy no matter how young or old the participant.Wellness Center Services - Complimentary Services include: Equipment Orientations, Fitness Assessments and Information Seminars.

Deluxe Services include:  Equipment Orientations - Required of all new facility members prior to using any equipment. Orientations give our new members an understanding of how our Wellness Center equipment works and how to use it safely. This is a free service. Please call the Wellness Center at (973) 992.7500 ext. 105 for an appointment.

We strongly suggest all new members consult their physicians before starting an exercise program. Fitness Evaluations Available to Facility Members by appointment. Our trainers will evaluate and design a program for your current fitness level. Evaluations will determine: Target Heart Rate, Body Composition and Flexibility. Testing takes approximately 30 minutes and is completely free. Contact Barbara Santola for more information.

Health & Safety Information Seminars Various health, fitness and safety topics will be discussed in these seasonal seminars which are free to members. Dates and times will vary throughout the year and will be posted at our Welcome Center.

Personal Training (One-on-One) - Looking to improve endurance, strength and flexibility? Trying to drop a few pounds? Maybe you want to improve your overall wellness. Our personal Trainers are diverse and knowledgeable and provide a wide range of benefits assisting you in reaching your goals, providing you with the motivation you need, and helping you to make exercise a regular part of your daily life. Active Adult Workouts (65 & Up) Today’s active adults are more health conscious than ever. Our YMCA offers many options for active adults, including Personal Training. Whether you are post-cardiac rehabilitation or an active golfer, our Personal Trainers will work with you and address your specific needs. Sessions are available to Facility Members only. Youth/Teen Personal Training (Ages 10+) - Youth and teens can condition with specifically designed exercises to improve strength, endurance, stamina, and speed. Training will introduce fundamentals of fitness on strength and cardio equipment. By appointment.


Youth/Teen workouts (Ages 8-14) - Fitness activities in a group setting that encourages teamwork, commitment, and healthy lifestyle. Trainers will work with you to achieve your individual goals with careful attention to limitation of the adolescent body.
